This Letting Go Is Freedom

This painting is very much a representation of my healing journey these past 3 years. Unbecoming everything that was never me to begin with, letting more light in, and stepping into the great unknown.
Healing is not linear and it is NOT for the faint of heart. You will go through several stages, opening deeper levels of healing as you go.

There will be a day when things from your past come back into your experience. You may have already faced it and done the work…but it goes deeper than that. There is more. And you must face it yet again, to let it go and let more light in.

The belief systems you adopted that got you where you are, at some point they will no longer serve you. You’ll have to let them go too, and start over again.

At one point you may even think you’re the highest expression of yourself, better than you’ve even been before. Trusting yourself more than ever before. And then Spirit will break you open again.

Don’t be afraid.
Trust the process.
Let go.
Surrender.

This is where you find FREEDOM.

Let go of the bitterness and pain.
Let go of fear.
Let go of judgment.
Let go of thinking who you should be.
Let go of trying so hard.
Let go of what others think of you.
Let go of trying to fit into society’s impossible and broken standards.
Let go of what you think your life is supposed to look like.

Just let go!

I do not know what my future holds, but I’m accepting more and more that God only knows, and that’s good enough for me. All I have to do is keep my heart open, trust the process, and let go 🙏🏼✨💜🌈🌱
